Cynthia founded Transitions, Making Moves Manageable in 2007 after helping a family friend downsize from the family home and transfer to the safe, comfortable and caring environment of a local independent living community.

“There was so much emotional turmoil for this gentleman, not to mention a huge number of practical things to coordinate. It was really overwhelming for him to deal with everything at once.“

With her own experience to build on, Cynthia next helped a friend with their father who was suffering from Alzheimer’s.

“I realized just how important it was to have support at this critical time and Transitions MMM was born.”

Cynthia grew up Houston, Texas and maintains close family connections in the area. Her professional career includes stints at Sotheby’s in London, England, The National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, and a non-profit fine arts organization in New York City.

With a degree in Interior Design from Louisiana State University, Cynthia has the ideal background to ensure that her clients move into a beautifully appointed new home.

Additionally, as an accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers, with a specialty in antiques and residential contents, Cynthia is uniquely qualified to assist with downsizing and ensure that the family treasures stay within the family.
