Out of State Relocation

Bill’s mom had lived in Florida throughout her retirement, but she was increasingly less clear about her surroundings. At 85, like many older adults, she was suffering from dementia.

Bill selected Transitions MMM to help move his mom to Houston based on their experience in working with memory impaired older adults, their interior design ability and familiarity with organizing moves.

Cynthia and her team visited the assisted living community in Houston and prepared a floor plan, including all of Bill's mom’s favorite and familiar things.

Next they organized the moving truck and packing. The day after the truck arrived in Houston, Bill’s mom moved into her new home. The rooms were completely furnished and decorated, the closets and drawers organized and the TV, internet and phone were all ready to go.
